Firm denies illegal movement of tramadol | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News

Medbury Medical Services (MMS) has denied using its ambulance for illegal conveyance of stolen tramadol, stressing that it had suspended the driver and would welcome further probe into the matter. Officials of the NigeriaCustoms Service had on Wednesday announced the arrest of two suspects caught with 10 cartons of tramadol in an ambulance at Apapa port. The Lagos-based firm claimed yesterday that the driver hijacked the ambulance, stressing that as a reputable industrial health provider for emergency medical services to ApapaWharf, it had at all times stationed its ambulances within the terminal. The company said that the whereabouts of the driver and the ambulance were unknown before the news broke.
